Scene to be Seen- Shuzz Art and Fashion Show
This week, the hottest ticket in town is the Shuzz Art and Fashion Show on Saturday, March 9th. Shuzz is a volunteer organization that provides new shoes to poverty-stricken children around in the world. In some cases, the shoes provided by the Shuzz organization are the first pair of shoes these children have ever owned. Besides the amazing philanthropy they support, Shuzz also gives a kick ass event. Shuzz partnered with Alene Too for this year’s runway looks. Attendees not only will be wowed by the ensembles, they can also walk away with the looks from the evening. Alene Too will have an on site pop up store. How do I know all this? Well, I’m honored enough to have been asked to be the Emcee the Shuzz Art and Fashion Show this year. (Don’t worry, I won’t pull a Seth MacFarlane and sing about boobs…or sing at all. Trust me, it’s best this way.) Purchase tickets here, but hurry. I hear the event is soon to be sold out.
Decadent Date Idea – Staying in
Season in South Florida means the mildest of winter weather (we think sweaters when it’s cold out) but it also means crowds, crowds, crowds. From the mall to the grocery to the roads- the traffic is enough to make anyone want to hibernate inside until it’s over in April. Which is why this week’s date suggestion is to spend it right at home. Make it a movie night and cuddle on the couch. Whether you order take out or cook at home, your night will be far better spent together under a blanket than sandwiched between everyone else vying for the bartender’s attention.
Social Media Love- Twitter
This week’s winner is Twitter. I’ve been tweeting for some time now, but I finally convinced my son & X they should be working the tweet. There’s something about being limited to 140 characters that makes everyone more clever.

Here’s a secret about my house: we dance every damn day (but never before the first cup of coffee). This week we’ve been all about the old school jam, and I love this song. Need to get pumped up? Just throw this one on your Ipod.
Shoe Porn- The Red Bootie
I’m obsessed with red lately. It all started with the red bag I’ve carried all season. No matter what I was wearing, it worked. So I started experimenting with red shoes. First it was the red platform sneakers that I fell in love with…next thing I know, my obsession had grown to 3 new pairs of reds. The great part about it? All are reasonably priced. This red bootie from Aldo was $150 and I wear them almost every day..That is, when I’m not wearing my other great red shoes.
Pick Your Poison- Coffee
My name is Angela and I’m addicted to caffeine…I’m drinking too much coffee this week. I’m hoping it helps me stop shoving food in my mouth and lose a few pounds before Shuzz. Mostly it’s just making me twitch.
Crush of the week- Justin Timberlake
If I’m breathing, I’ve got a crush. This week is all about JT. Yes, he is a little young for my taste, but the sexiness of him in his Suit & Tie is just too much. He’s come a long way from In Sync days for sure. He’s bringing old school sexy back and I have to say, I like it!
